a. What did you learn about yourself by completing the PDP?
The PDP made me reflect on my personal and professional life. I learned that during given tasks, I prefer to be very organized and follow set systems, and that I also use facts a lot to lead me into making judgments. My leadership style impressed me because during positions of leadership where I do not have to manage, I reach out to people more empower them to be self-reliant through motivating and encouraging them. I am also encouraged by my communication skills, but these need to be polished up more in order to make me a more effective and efficient leader.
b. What was most significant to you about the external environmental segment researched by your team?
The impact and grasp that terrorism has on the social-political of any economy was very significant. How the social nature of a people can transcend all barriers known to man and impact a worldwide political arena. Social-politics is a very important segment that cannot be done with more so now than ever before. How a nation relates to each other, activities of certain groups and even to the basics of religion quickly spreads out to be felt by the rest of the world.
c. How could you use what you have learned about yourself by completing the PDP on your job?
From what I have learnt, I could use this information by making better and wiser decisions at my job. Since I have come to learn quite a bit regarding my preference styles of thinking, my emotional intelligence, leadership qualities and where I truly want to be in my future, I can use this to mold and shape myself into practicing that which I want to be.
d. How do you define 'wisdom'?
My definition of wisdom is using life’s experiences to make radical and prudent decisions. Decisions or judgments are arrived at through the use of insight into the real life and applying it appropriately as per the situation demands.
